Maintaining an independent legal profession, preserving an independent judiciary, protecting the sanctity of solicitor-client privilege, upholding the Rule of Law – these are some of the issues which the Federation of Law Societies of Canada is called upon to speak about in Court, in public and in the halls of Parliament and government departments.
