Council Member representing the Law Society of New BrunswickMarie-Claude Bélanger-Richard was appointed a Council member by the Law Society of New Brunswick in November 2009. She is a partner in the firm Stewart McKelvey in Moncton where she practises civil litigation, insurance and family law. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Moncton in 1985 and was called to the Bar of New Brunswick the following year. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2003. Marie-Claude is currently President of the Law Society of New Brunswick. She is also a Past President of the Young Lawyers' Association of the Canadian Bar Association, New Brunswick branch.
