Ian Donaldson is a partner at Donaldson Jetté in Vancouver where he practises criminal law. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and Queen’s University and was called to the B.C. Bar in 1985. Ian was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1998, served as a Bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia from 2000 to 2007 and is now a Life Bencher.

Ian has also been actively involved in the Canadian Bar Association serving as a member of its Task Force on Reform of the Criminal Code, Chair of the Vancouver Criminal Justice Section, and Chair of the Legislative Liaison and Law Reform Committee, amongst other activities. He has also been active in a number of professional organizations, including the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, the National Association of Criminal Defence Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Medical Legal Society.
