The management of the business of the Federation is vested in its Council which consists of fourteen (14) individuals appointed by their respective Law Societies, as well as a President and a vice-president designated by Council as the president-elect. Council may appoint additional vice-presidents and may designate the immediate past president as an ex-officio member of the Council. The term of office of a member of Council appointed by a member Law Society shall be at the pleasure of that Law Society. The Council generally meets in person three (3) times per year and may meet more frequently by teleconference.
